Question: What is Breathing Zone?
Answer: Breathing Zone is a simple and effective guided breathing exercise. All you need to do is breathe in and out according to the guide. Your breathing rate is gradually lowered and the length of your exhalation extended. Breathing exercises can help reduce stress, improve your mood, and make you feel more relaxed and energized.

Question: How do I get started using Breathing Zone?
Answer: You simply tap the “play” button (located in the top right of screen) and then follow the voice instructions by synchronising your breathing to the guide sound and animated breathing guide. As the breathing guide gets bigger, you breathe in. As it gets smaller, you breath out. Breathing Zone comes with default breathing rate settings that most people should find suitable for their first breathing session.

Question: What Target Breathing Rate should I use?
Answer: The maximum Target Breathing Rate is 10 Bpm (breaths per minute). Breathing at a rate of 10 Bpm or under is considered theraputic. You should set the Target Breathing Rate to the lowest Bpm at which your breathing feels comfortable. The most important thing is that you are relaxed and that you maintain a comfortable breathing rate.

Question: Am I suppose to breath in with my nose and breath out with my mouth?

Answer: It’s generally recommended that you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. However, if you’re not comfortable doing that, then just breathe whichever way feels best for you.

Question: How can I change the Breathing Rate?
Answer: You can adjust the Breathing Rate at any time during a session by tapping the “+” or “-” buttons.

Question: How do I set up Breathing Session?
Answer: You can set a custom breathing session by tapping the “Settings” button (the cog at the bottom left of the screen). From the Settings screen you select your Guide Sound, Sessionon Length, Start Breathing Rate and Target Breathing Rate. To start your session, tap the “Done” button (top right) and then the “play button” (top right). Now breathe according to the instructions. Your breathing rate will be gradually lowered from the Start Breathing Rate to the Target Breathing Rate. Remember: you can always adust the breathing rate during a session by tapping the “+” or “-” buttons.

Question: Do I need the Breathing Analyzer, and at what point in the process should I use it?

Answer: The Breathing Analyzer measures your current breathing rate and creates a personalized breathing program for you by adjusting the Start Breathing Rate and Target Breathing Rate. You use the Breathing Analyzer before starting a session. You do not need to use the Breathing Analyzer. You can set your own Start Breathing Rate and Target Breathing Rate manually, or just use the default settings.
